Drop your low E two steps to a C (4 notes) by lowering its pitch until it sounds the same fretted on the 9th fret as your A does open. Then, drop your A one step to a G by lowering its pitch until it sounds the same fretted on the 7th fret as your D does open. Or, use a tuner. You might have to anyway, because dropping the pitch and tension that much on the two strings will throw your guitar out of tune, and make everything sound crappy. I'm tabbing Stephen Malkmus' parts. It's probably easiest to mute it and the high E.
