4/4 - relatively steady tempo compared with rubato performances of other songs on this album
Couldn't find a good version of this so here's one that's pretty much accurate.
As always, Fahey plays with small variations in timing, flourishes such as rolls and triplets...
You could probably play in simple eights and it would sound good, but not exaclty how he played it.
I haven't captured everything from the recording but fairly sure the melody is how he played it.
The structure and syncopation I have laid out is from that recording but you could easily embellish more,
play with the syncopation and effectively improvise around the melody.
Rolls are notated with ^ symbols to the let of the chord - these could be played with with a thumb stroll
or a PIM roll (which is more likely what Fahey did other than the very last chord).
I learned from Andrew Lardner on YouTube (definitely go check him out) that often where two notes are played
at a time (like the 1/1 on 5/6 in bar 2) Fahey was hitting two string with one stroke, probably with M.
These are not essential to play, but it was probably intentional on Fahey's part.
