Blue River by Rick Danko, Jonas Fjeld and Eric Andersen

                             Blue River

Tuning:E A D G B E
Key:Dm
Capo:no capo

-The "slash" chords might look scary, but for those who don't already know, they
indicate the bass note that
should be played underneath each chord. For example, the F/C chord is a normal F
chord played on only
the bottom five strings. (See how that forces the C note on the A string to be
the new bass note?)

-I reccomend you go through the chords and pay attention to how the bass notes
shift chromatically
(one fret, or half step, up or down) from one chord to the next. This ascending
and descending bassline
is what makes this song so hauntingly beautiful.

-Lastly, this song works best when fingerpicked. You can absolutely strum,(if
you're careful) but I find
that playing with your fingers works the best. There's no need for any fancy
picking patterns, I usually just
pluck four strings at a time using my thumb, index, middle, and ring fingers.
