China Blue by Jackson C. Frank China Blue Tuning: E A D G B E It's quite easy to play around with fingerpicking and add some of the basic melody, so just feel your way around until you find a good way to play it. Maybe someone more skilled than me can work out more of the actual tune, but for playing it on one guitar I find it ok just to play around between the Ds and the Gs, fingerpicking and little fills like: D G D e -----2-2------3p2-0--------0-0---0---3p2-0-------2-2-| B -----3-3------------3------0-0-------------3-----3-3-| G ---2------2--------------------0---------------2-----| D -0----------0--------------------------------0-------| A -------------------------2---------------------------| E -----------------------3-----------------------------| etc. I believe he plays a standard G chord except during the fills (as above), where the high e and B strings are open [Intro] D G [Verse] G D G As often as I could call you D G Down in the Bureau of Mines D A You were all caught up in that diesel G D And habitual criminal signs [Chorus] A G D Yesterday everything seemed to be alright G A 'Til I woke up in the dawn D G My life I'd give you D G for one sweet day D A To be home G D again and loved D G [Verse] D G You regret religion's support D G And I am unable to try D A So many have held out for glory G D My habits grown too hard to die [Chorus] A G D Yesterday everything seemed to be alright G A 'Til I woke up in the dawn D G My life I'd give you D G for one sweet day D A To be home G D again and loved D G [Verse] D G No sense to tell us we're burning D G It's unexpectedly clear D A How that warm bed of roses keeps calling G D So what are you all doing here [Chorus] A G D Yesterday everything seemed to be alright G A 'Til I woke up in the dawn D G My life I'd give you D G for one sweet day D A To be home again G D and loved [Outro] D G until end -------------
