Said, How'd you get to be so smart?
She said, I guess I'm just not an uptight bastard and
To quote someone a little bit great
There's far more to life than makin it move faster
I said, Where'd you learn that?
She said, In school
Do you know who it is
Yeah its Ghandi you fool
And I I had it figured out
But that little girl made my world crash down
That afternoon

Your personality is inspiring
And makin me look down on myself
Being so overwhelming
With the problems of someone else
I try to take the time to comfort
To ease and come alive
But at least once a year you manage to make me realize
That I'm not always right

Falling down
You're so melodramatic
Always heavy on my mind
I'm run down cuz I never take my time

Said, How'd you get to be so smart?
She said, I guess I'm just not an uptight bastard and
To quote someone a little bit great
There's far more to life than makin it move faster
I said, Where'd you learn that?
She said, In school
Do you know who it is
Yeah its Ghandi you fool
And I thought I had it figured out
But that little girl made my world crash down

So back to date I'd say you've got a problem on your hand
You never compensate and you know exactly how to stand
And if I said that I didn't respect you
Then I would be lyin to your face
So small but gentle, full of love
Doesn't compromise when I say

You're always falling down
You're so melodramatic
Always heavy on my mind
I'm run down cuz I never take my time

How'd you get to be so smart?
She said, I guess I'm just not an uptight bastard and
To quote someone a little bit great
There's far more to life than makin it move faster
I said, Where'd you learn that?
She said, In school
Do you know who it is
Yeah its Ghandi you fool
And I thought I had it figured out
