The Pusher by Steppenwolf

                          The Pusher

Standard tuning with capo on 3rd fret. Tab is relative to capo.

I'm just about 100% certain on this sickeningly lazy and cool main riff. You can get the
rhythm by listening to the song. You've gotta throw in the little "chick" palm muted
too.

B-------------------------------------------|
G---0h1-1-x---2---2-x---4---4-x---2---2-x---|
D---0---0-x---0---0-x---0---0-x---0---0-x---|
A---2---2-x---4---4-x---5---5-x---5---5-x---|
E---0---0-x---0---0-x---0---0-x---0---0-x---|

There's another part they play once in a while as well - the same progression, just a
higher. Not as sure on this part, but I play it like this:

e-------------------------------------------|
B---1h2-2-x---3---3-----5---5-x---3---3-x---|
G---x---x-x---x---x-x---x---x-x---x---x-x---|
D---2---2-x---4---4-x---5---5-x---4---4-x---|
A---0---0-x---0---0-x---0---0-x---0---0-x---|
E-------------------------------------------|

There are a couple of other ways that sound ok too. I'll put them up and I guess you can
which sounds better to you.

version 2

The whole song is basicly 2 riffs. The chords are in the right order but you will
have to listen to the song to figure out how many times they are strummed.
I did not post the solos but they are not very hard if you listen to the song.

Riff1:
    G C/G D6sus C/G
----X---------X----------X---------X--------|
----X---------1----------3---------1--------|
----0---------0----------0---------0--------|
----0---------2----------3---------2--------|
----2---------X----------X---------X--------|
----3---------3----------3---------3--------|
This repeats several times

Riff2:
    C F/C C2sus4 F/C
---------------1----------------------1--------|
----1----------1----------3-----------1--------|
----0----------2----------------------2--------|
----2----------3----------3-----------3--------|
----3----------3----------3-----------3--------|

This repeats several times

version 3

Capo on the third fret. All chords with respect to the capo.

I saw a transcription of this song and it didn?t sound quite right.
So here is how it goes:

First strum an E7 chord, and hammer on the first fret on the
third string at the same time. Always use upstrokes.

The chord progression for the whole song, if I remember correctly,
is E7, Fm, G and Fm.

E7 (0201xx)
Fm (0402xx)
G (0504xx)
