version 2

Tuning: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb

Tune down a half-step

The D** in the intro indicates a quick Dadd4 to D transition using a hammer-on from 0 to 2 on the G string.
He uses that same hammer-on in most places where the D chord appears.

An * after a chord means a single down strum. The D** to A in the first chorus is a very quick instance of
the Dadd4 to D hammer-on for "broke" immediately transitioning to the A for "heart." It looks like this
D** to A transition may have been a mistake because he goes straight to A in the other 2 choruses, but I
listed it here anyway.

The Song Pretty Much Repeats This With
Less Hammer-ons While He Is Singing And
Im The Pre-Chorus He Adds An “A” Also

It's junked out joint off a backroad
A blinkin' window sign with an arrow
A gravel Iot chocked full of toolbox trucks
Makin' their happy hour way home
When guys like me lose girls like you
That's where we run to
They got "Whiskey River" on a jukebox
A honky tonk sawdust dance floor
A neon, five o'clock, broke clock
And plenty damn many when you want one more
Of this broke heart fool on an old bar stool
Drinkin' beer almost as cold as you
A bunch of good time numbers on the stall door
A picture of you on a dart board
Them cinder block walls ain't ever been cleaned
Still ain't as dirty as you done me
"Whiskey River" on a jukebox
A honky tonk sawdust dance floor
A neon, five o'clock, broke clock
And plenty damn many when you want one more
Of this broke heart fool on an old bar stool
Drinkin' beer almost as cold as you
When guys like me lose girls like you
That's where we run to
We got "Whiskey River" on a jukebox
A honky tonk sawdust dance floor
A neon, five o'clock, broke clock
And plenty damn many when you want one more
Of this broke heart fool on an old bar stool
Drinkin' beer almost as cold as you
