This tab closely follows Julian Bream's version of the piece. With
that said, the formal introduction, and another section towards the
end have been removed. After hearing various versions of Rondo No 2,
I can understand why Julian Bream did this; removing those sections
makes the peice more aggressive.
This is a very difficult piece and requires a lot of dedication to
get down. With that said, this is my perspective on one the easiest
ways to play it. Don't take this tab as the be all and end all.
There are different ways to play almost every section of the peice...
so the bottom line is do what's comfortable! (especially for a
marathon peice like this)
NOTES :
- Barres 51 and 52 can be played a number of different ways. The
way put in the tab was a way I learned from a friend which I found
to be the easiest. At the end of the tab, I wrote the way Julian
Bream, and the way Li Jie play this scale.
- Any note in (parentheses) can be played if you want to.
In most cases, the notes add a little more difficulty to the piece.
Since the piece is played rather quickly, most people will not
notice a missing note here and there (especially when the note is
part of a chord). The notes DO add a little ornamentation, so the
choice is yours.
