Strange by Laura Marling

                              Strange

Tuning: D A D F# A D

I placed the bends and pull-offs on top of the notes.
If it's on top of two notes, yeah, you gotta do on two notes.
bends    = b
pull off = p
bend and then pull off = b/p
*note: I put mostly the melody here, and Marling plays with a lot of precision
but go ahead and strike all o'them strings.

Intro (I called this bit intro, but the actual intro is kind of Verse 2 + Bang part)

Bang

I don't know what to called this except for the BANG part. The A and 4th D chord are hit almost
simultaneously and with very quick pull-offs.

"those who do good will be treated accordingly"

I guess the difficulty of this song is added up by the strumming speed it has
(I would describe it as a banging galloping strum). She also does some muting here and there,
but in my opinion, anything you get out of it that sounds nice is right. Once you get used to it,
you'll find it very easy to match it up to your own pace, since it is largely dependent
on the singing part.

Get all your records out
And throw them all away
No one left to listen to
Much left less to say
Working hard and getting on
Still not getting paid
Stay low, keep brave
Woke up in a country
Who refused to hold your hand
Kept falling for narcissists
Insist you call them man
You woke late for a job you hate
Which never fit the plan
Stay low, keep brave
I love you my strange girl
My lonely girl, my angry girl
My brave
I love you my strange girl
My lonely girl, my angry girl
My brave
Build yourself a garden
And have something to attend
Cut off all relations
'Cause you could not stand your friends
Announce yourself a socialist
To have something to defend
Oh, young girl, please
Don't bullshit to me
I love you my strange girl
My lonely girl, my angry girl
My brave
I love you my strange girl
My lonely girl, my angry girl
My brave
Changed how you feel
It's good to break the seal
I blew us both away
It's changing all the time
And it starts to blur the line
It's supposed to keep you safe
And you roll
Like a tidal wave
And you roll
Like a tidal wave
I love you my strange girl
My lonely girl, my angry girl
My brave
I love you my strange girl
My lonely girl, my angry girl
My brave
