Fade by Sleater-Kinney Fade The guitar should be tuned down one half-step for this version. If you wish not to change tunings, you can simply transpose the song down one half-step (-1) and play in the key of C#m. C should be barred on the 3rd fret. All instances of C are used purely as transition chords and are only strummed once. The transition pattern in Verse 1 is one strum each of Bb C Dm for the 1st two lines. A is also transitional though it should be played as such: xx2220. The pattern there being identical to the one above, only substituting C for A. Dm* means to play the barred version of Dm on the 5th fret. Bb* means to barre Bb on the sixth fret.
