                           Beyond The Wheel

Drop D tuning
DADGBe

Intro

For about the first 30 seconds it sounds like mostly just hitting the first
3 open strings. mix it up with palm muting and throwing in some harmonics.
then when the drums come in, strum the open strings and then tap over the
5th fret.

For the Xs, just hit muted strings higher up on the fret board
to get that higher pitched sound. as you repeat this change up the pattern for the Xs
throw in some harmonics each time.
(listen to song for nuances)

(3:18-4:06)

Solo that i cant transcribe over the same backing line as the previous section.

Far beyond the road
Between your house and home
There is a churning storm
Of hailing burning bones

Tiny baby cries
Little tiny pawn
In the profit gain
Tiny baby grows

(Damn, this dude has some pipes)
Mother, who's your man
Is he doing what he can?
To make a proper home, home
By overturning other stones, stones
Father, mighty man
Loves his little boys, boys
Shows them how to kill
To save his precious stones, stones

Far beyond the Wheel
It steers your life around
We're driving flesh and blood, blood
Deep Into the ground, ground (x2)

version 2

Dropped D Tuning (D, A, D, G, B, e)

          (Intro and verse part)

e-------------|I
B-------------|I
G-------------|I
D--0----(5)---|I
A--0----(5)---|I
D--0----(5)---|I

NOTE: The numbers in parenthesis are NOT fretted. I think they're
tapped harmonics. To get them to sound right, play the first three open
strings and lightly tap those same strings across the fith fret. Play this a
lot during the intro and verse.

          (Chorus(?) part)

e-------------------------------------------------------|I
B-------------------------------------------------------|I
G-------------------------------------------------------|I
D--0----0----5----5-6---6-5---------6-5-3-0-3-5-6-5-----|I
A--0----0----5----5-6---6-5---------6-5-3-0-3-5-6-5-----|I
D--0----0----5----5-6---6-5---------6-5-3-0-3-5-6-5-----|I

NOTE: The last time this is played, do not play the last two
chords. Go right into the Post chorus.

          (Post chorus)

e--------------------------|I
B--------------------------|I
G--------------------------|I
D--6----5----3--5--3--0----|I
A--6----5----3--5--3--0----|I
D--6----5----3--5--3--0----|I

NOTE: After playing the above three times, only play the first
three chords for the fourth time. During the next verse, play the Chorus(?)
part. For the verse after that, play the Chorus(?) part, but substitute the
second set of chords with a bunch of pick scrapes. Then comes the
solo......Just play a D pentatonic, and strum behind the bridge if you can.
As for the rhythm guitar, play the exact thing that was played under the
last verse mentioned above. Finally, end the song with this:

          (Ending)

e--------------------|I
B--------------------|I
G--------------------|I
D--6------5------3---|I
A--6------5------3---|I
D--6------5------3---|I
