Night Cab by Tina Dico

                                 Night Cab

Standard tuning. Capo on 2. Chords relative to the capo (eg "A" is really B). Song is
simple, but requires the ability to play barre chords.

Couple of notes:

The only nonstandard chord, Aadd4/F#, is pretty easy. It's just:

E 0
B 2
G 2
D 0
A 0
E 2

All she's doing is playing a normal open-position A major chord,
and moving her finger from the D string to the low E string.
(You could think of it as a F#m7add6, but it's easier to think
about as an A chord given how you play it).

Also, in the chorus and bridge, when she's playing Bm C#m D, the D chord
is a barred D on the fifth fret, not an open D chord like she plays in the verse.

A
The raindrops on the roof of the car
              Aadd4/F#
Sound like a warning
                      A
I'm alone in the backseat

And in the clouded sky a pondering star
         Aadd4/F#
Waits for morning
                A
To go back to sleep
          D F#m
There's a great big world out there
        E Bm
Of good and bad and everything in between
      D F# E
I've got my own small world in here
                                       Bm E
Of happy and sad and the little I have seen

      Bm C#m D Bm C#m D
Keep driving, keep driving
      Bm C#m D Bm C#m D
Keep driving, keep driving

A
The silent lamppost bows down its head
              Aadd4/F#
Encircled by darkness
                      A
With time on its side

And when everyone I know are in bed
         Aadd4/F#
My light shines the sharpest
                A
Across the divide
          D F#m
There's a deep blue sea out there
        E Bm
Of birth and death and the lovely mess in between
      D F# E
I've got my own short life in here
                                       Bm E
Going to God-knows-where in this fast machine

      Bm C#m D Bm C#m D
Keep driving, keep driving
      Bm C#m D Bm C#m D
Keep driving, keep driving
      Bm C#m D Bm C#m D
Keep driving, keep driving
      Bm C#m D Bm C#m D
Keep driving, keep driving

(then you just keep the Bm C#m D groove through:)

              Bm C# D
Through the city, past the billboards
              Bm C# D
Selling hope to hopeless souls
              Bm C# D
To the outskirts where every locked door
              Bm C# D
Has seen things that no-one knows
              Bm C# D
Past the beaches where the wind blows
              Bm C# D
And the waves caress the shore
              Bm C# D
Through the forest where a tree grows
              Bm C# D
For two hundred years or more
              Bm C# D

      A
The raindrops on the roof of the car
               Aadd4/F#
Sound like a warning
                     A
I'm alone in the backseat
And in the clouded sky a lonesome star
            Aadd4/F#
Waits for morning
               A
To go back to sleep
