Martin Luther by Tommy Womack

                               Martin Luther

Tommy plays this song capoed on the third fret and playing in C relative to the
capo. (All chords are relative to the capo.)

He uses two C chords: the garden variety C you know, and another where he lifts
his finger from the first fret of the B string, which is Cmaj7.

When he plays F, he roots it at the third fret of the D string, rather than
playing a bar chord rooted at the first fret of the low E. Keep this in mind.

The descending walk at the ends of the choruses/verses starts in C, then move the
root down to B (C/B), then Am, then Am with a G bass (Am/G), then F, then G again.
This walk will be labeled as C C/B Am Am/G F G.

Also, at the ends of the choruses/verses, he plays the F mentioned above, then
brings his thumb around to fret a G on the low E string. This is marked as F/G.

(Intro C)

Martin Luther slung his feces up against the wall.

But now all Minnesota gives what Martin Luther's due him.

Ninety-five in all, he coulda thought of more.

The printing press was hip, like the internet is now,

And Martin Luther got in trouble, like you don't know how.

All he needs between 'em is the taste of Jesus' blood.

F G C C/B Am Am/G

If a gang of friendly monks ain't hid him in a dungeon for his own good.
