This is to get a low, bassy tone which Jamies's got.) Capo on fret 3! This is the way Jamie plays it. He does not tune to drop D. All tabs relative to capo. First there is a quite random intro which is quite hard to transpond for me, but it is basically B's and mutes. But then the main riff starts off like this: RIFF 1 C#|------------------------------| G#|------------------------------| E |------------------------------| B |------------------------------| F#|-----------------------5-3b---| B |---0--0--0--0--0-0-5-7--------| Then sometimes he puts in this riff (quite randomly, I'd say): RIFF 2 C#|----------------------------| G#|----------------------------| E |----------------------------| B |------------------0--3--3---| F#|------------------0--3--3---| B |---0--0--0--0--0--0--3--3---| Before the choruses Jamie skips the fancy parts of RIFF 1 and just goes like this: RIFF 3 (Before the last chorus, play the last few strummings as chords and a little faster) C#|----------------------------| G#|----------------------------| E |----------------------------| B |----------------------------| F#|----------------------------| B |---0--0--0--0--0--0--0--0---| The chorus goes like this: RIFF C C#|------------------------------------------------------| G#|------------------------------------------------------| E |---2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--------------| B |---2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--2--4-4--5--5---| F#|---0--0--0--0--0--4^-4^-0--0--0--0--0--0--4-4--5--5---| B |------------------------------------------4-4--5--5---| This is the bridge after the second chorus: C#|--------------------------------------------------| G#|--------------------------------------------------| E |--------------------------------------------------| B |---0~---------------------------------------------| F#|---0~---------------------------------------------| B |---0~---------------------------------------------| C#|--------------------------------------------------| G#|--------------------------------------------------| E |--------------------------------------------------| B |---3-0---3-0---3---0-3--3---0-3-(0)-3-0--3-0--5---| F#|---3-0---3-0---3---0-3--3---0-3-(0)-3-0--3-0--5---| B |---3-0---3-0---3---0-3--3---0-3-(0)-3-0--3-0--5---| Progression: INTRO VERSE 1: RIFF 1 * 4 RIFF 2 * 1 RIFF 1 * 11 "Pull A U..." Its a guitar part you attack rather than play. sure your amp and guitar are set to be dead bassy, and it halps if you're feeling sexy as hell.
