Tuning: DGCFAD (Whole Step Down)
This is just Zach's part.
Use the neck pickup.
If you have a delay pedal, set it to 469ms with 8 repeats fairly high in the mix (about 3/4).
If you have a multi effects unit or various pedals, use the above settings on digital delay
going into another delay set to 313ms with 4 repeats about 1/2 in the mix
and finally some reverb fairly low in the mix (1/4), but with the decay high (85% to 90%).
There's gradual tone sweep in the intro from 0:00 to 0:24.
A wah pedal will work great for this if you have one.
You can leave it on (toe down) for the entire song after that bit.
Makes it sound nice and bright.
Michael turns Zach's tone knob up to achieve this live.
Also to get the sound correct, lightly palm mute the E, A, D and G strings.
