My name is Matt Eich and I build these steel bodied resonator guitars.
I was stuck. I had been swapping guitars in and out, building my own acoustics, and spent years building amazing instruments for Huss and Dalton. I was looking for things to kick start songs. I was stuck wondering if there were new songs hiding in this rosewood or that rosewood, a small body guitar or large, between A5 or A2 magnets. I didn’t find what I was looking for and the revolving door of gear continued. What I found out was to find the new sound you have to swing the search really wide. To create inspiration you have to be exposed to something unexpectedly new. That newness teaches you to think differently, to play differently and make different musical choices. That creates songs. I find these resonators wake up my ear like nothing else, and when I go back to other guitars I hear them in a new way. Round and round it goes. That’s incredibly valuable. I’m here to give you that same experience.
I found what I was looking for in these single and tricone resonator guitars. I wanted to contribute a new resonator – one with warmth and depth, one that was easy to play, and full of nuance. Resonators for acoustic guitar players. I wanted to look at the raw steel it was made from instead of chrome. I wanted to give customers a better experience – timely and full of connection. We do this through high quality build photos and continued support through ownership. If you’re looking for a new sound, new songs, and a new experience with instruments I would love to build you one of these guitars and see what you create with it.
This is working class. The new sound is steel.
I’m happy you’re here and if you have any questions please email at muleresonators@gmail.com
