This could be two different chords played on two guitars, not sure on this.
Just play messily and it sounds about right.

3:12 one guitar then plays some open strings across the G, B and E strings for 2 bars,
whilst the other guitars make noises by tapping the neck and playing strings above the 
nut and bridge.

This is played by the left guitar alone twice whilst the right guitar makes
some noise. The Right guitar then takes over for 6 bars, whilst the left

bars, listen for rhythm.

Apply vibrato to these octaves and play 4 bars and then tremolo pick these for the last 2.
Its worth listening to the cd here, since the guitarist varies what he plays in a couple 
of bars.

After this both guitars play some garbage high up the neck for 2 bars.
